240 litre absorbent capacity spill kits with wheelie bin ideal for oil stores and workshops
You never know when an emergency spill kit will come in handy, so having a complete and stocked up spill kit nearby when working with different types of liquids and hazardous chemicals can be very useful. It will help to stop spills spreading further and causing more problems to potentially valuable equipment, personnel and the environment.
Each of our UK made spill kits is designed to cope with liquid spills in industrial and workshop environments with ease, if left to spread spillages can lead to slippery surfaces which may result in staff injuries, lingering smells and potentially fire hazards. To help you pick the spill kit best suited to your needs we've designed these kits to cover three main areas, our general purpose spill kit (GSK240) is ideal for cleaning up water, oils, coolant and cleaner spills, our oil and fuel spill kit (OSK240) is designed for use with oils, fuels and solvents (not water) and the chemical spill kit (CSK240) is designed for acid, caustics and other chemical spillages. Each kit has an absorbent capacity of 240 litres and our main spill kits also include a 240L wheelie bin which can be used to safely transport and dispose of the soiled socks, pads and other used absorbents, disposal bags and ties are also included with each kit. If you don't fancy a wheelie bin, there are 240L spill kits with a yellow storage bin which could be an alternative.
In addition to the spill kits, we also offer handy refill kits to replenish dwindling stocks following a spillage. There's a wide variety of absorbents available separately too, including absorbent pads, socks, cushions as well as perforated absorbent rolls so you can completely customise your spill kit if you prefer. Absorbents are colour-coded to help identify which spill-sucker to use for different types of spill. Yellow absorbents are aimed at soaking up spills of chemicals such as caustics and acids, white pads, socks and booms are to be used on spills of oil, fuels and solvents with grey absorbents being general purpose, so use them on water, coolants and cleaners, they can deal with some oil spills too. And don't forget, when storing oil, fuel and other hazardous chemicals it's best to store them safely in a COSHH cupboard.
