Many anti-fatigue mats are manufactured from natural rubber. Natural rubber has intrinsic anti-slip properties, making for a safe working environment. The only small downside of natural rubber is that it can smell a bit, well, rubbery. But there's no need to worry about this as there are ways to remove the smell of rubber matting using a mild detergent ph 4.0-9.0 to clean away muck and dirt.
Bubblemat is a good example of a mat constructed from natural rubber. The raised bubbled surface is designed to stimulate blood flow and in turn help legs and feet feel more comfortable. Helping to banish the achy feeling associated with standing in one place for a lengthy period of time.

Not all mats are manufactured from natural rubber, some of the most satisfying mats are made from PVC. Foam is wrapped in this hard-wearing material which creates a lovely thick comfortable cushion for your feet. It's also resistant to chemicals so suitable for use in tough environments.
Easy-to-clean anti-fatigue mats
There's no need to worry about using our range of anti-fatigue mats in situations where they may become soiled, as you can clean the mats using a hose not exceeding 60psi. For optimum results, use a mild detergent. Degreasers or caustic chemicals can damage some types of matting, as can a high-pressure hose, so it's best to use a lower-pressure hose not exceeding 60psi to remove dirt and debris.
Anti-fatigue and anti-slip on in one!
Heavy-duty rubber mats are an ideal solution in an industrial environment. They are naturally weighty and therefore stay in place. Not only do they contain anti-fatigue properties, but they also provide an anti-slip flooring which conforms to slip resistance testing EN 13552. They're specially designed to allow spilled liquids to drain through the holes to the floor beneath to avoid slippery puddles forming.
For the safest of working areas, it's a good idea to look for a mat with a bevelled edge. This tapered edge creates a smooth transition from the mat to the floor which in turn makes it far less of a trip hazard. That'll keep your Health and Safety manager content!
