Containment for minor leakages from oil drums
Oil is used in a wide variety of industrial and work environments, such as oil rigs, garages and petrol stations, workshops and factories and ports. No matter where oil is used, it needs to be stored in a safe and secure way to prevent leakages and accidents. If a spillage occurs, it can lead to serious environmental damage and health and safety issues, therefore, it is better to prevent or contain any spills rather than have to clean them up.
Oil, fuel and many other chemicals are often contained and stored in drums. These drums may still leak, so having a drum tray is the perfect method of catching any small spills. It is also easy to use and is an affordable option for single drums, which may for example be used in garages or small workshops.
Regardless of the environment you are working in, a drum tray will help to prevent any leaks spreading further around the work area. This is ideal for single drums. When in an environment where there are many drums, a bigger storage solution may be required in order to effectively maintain any spills. To help avoid spilling flammables when transferring into an oil drum, a Justrite safety drum funnel is a great accessory. And to mop up any rogue drips, circular absorbent pads designed specifically to sit on top of oil drums are ideal.
We also offer a range of spill kits for those occasions where leaks get a little out of control.
