Highly visible graphic floor sign for eye protection areas to remind that eye protection goggles should be worn
Under the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992, employers must provide goggles, safety glasses or other eye protection to employees who are at high risk to their health and safety. Employers have a duty not only to provide the eye protection to those employees or visitors exposed to hazardous conditions, but also to monitor that their employees actually wear them.
Eye Protection Area floor signs positioned on an appropriate floor space will not only demonstrate the organisation's health and safety standard, it will also remind employees of their responsibility to follow health and safety procedures. The clear and highly visible message of the Eye Protection Area floor signs can reduce the risk of eye damage from chemical splashes, vapours and from the impact of flying particles from cutting, chipping and grinding machinery.
Two Eye Protection Area floor signs are available from our online store. Both are manufactured within the UK and meet health and safety standards. Both are made from clear PVC film and can be simply self-adhered to a suitable surface. The adhesive is strong and permanent and the signs are individually tested for non-slip.
One sign is on a highly visible yellow background stating ‘Attention – Eye Protection Area’ with an image of a man’s face complete with goggles. The second sign is on a blue background with the image and no written message. Both clearly convey the message that protective eye wear is a requirement in that particular area.
