Salt spreader that mounts to your tractor and is driven by a power shaft
Many industrial salt spreaders are operated independently of roadway maintenance vehicles, but tractor salt spreaders are different. This salt spreader attaches directly onto the back of maintenance tractors and drops rock salt directly onto roadways for easy de-icing. Rather than having to tow the spreader behind the vehicle or pushing the spreader separately, workers can simply mount it to the tractor, fill it with rock salt, and use it as needed while driving along the streets.
Since a salt spreader that works with tractors can be used without tyres of its own, it is perfect for use when roadway crews are limited. A worker can simply attach the spreader to the back of his or her own tractor and perform the job alone if necessary. The Tractor Salt Spreader weighs just 35kg unfilled, so it is relatively simple for workers to lift it and attach it to the tractor before filling it with rock salt.
Adding to its usefulness, the tractor salt spreader is equipped with a rigid flap lid that keeps rain or snow out of the rock salt during use. It also attaches to the tractor using a three-point system and a steel frame that ensures that it will not come off during operation or come loose over the course of the day. If you're not fortunate to have a tractor, but do have a car or ride on lawn mower, then the 80L vehicle towed salt spreader would be a great alternative.
