COSHH cabinets designed for safely storing acids (white colour denotes acid or alkali), with compliant safety signs
Storing acid or alkali liquids safely is important in ensuring that the workplace meets health and safety standards and minimises the risk of accidents. Cupboards used in the storage of such liquids need to be strong, with lockable doors and clear signage. These Acid Storage Cabinets have been designed especially to safely store acid or alkali liquids. These chemical cabinets have a white finish, which denotes that they are used for the storage of these liquids and are clearly marked with the correct safety symbols to ensure that they comply with the relevant safety standards. The cabinets come in a number of sizes. The smallest size is AC13, which is 460mm high, 460mm wide and 305mm deep. The largest, the AC08, measures 1830mm by 915mm by 460mm. The smaller chemical cabinets have one shelf and a sump depth of 50mm whilst the larger cupboards have 2 or 3 shelves. The cabinets may have one or two doors, depending on size. The larger cabinets have a sump depth of 150mm.
Safety is paramount when storing acid or alkali liquids so choosing a well-built, lockable cupboard that has been specifically designed to handle these liquids will reduce the risk of damage or injury due to spillages or accidents. Any spills into the sumps of these cabinets will require emptying using absorbents. Thankfully we also offer a range of chemical spill kits & chemical absorbent spill pads.
