Be prepared for another wintry assault from the British weather with a rock salt bin (see what we did there?).

Grit bins with locks are perfect for public areas their contents are protected from salt robbers and salt wasters or contamination by foreign bodies or liquids. We offer two types of lock, an integral key lock or hasp and staple. The hasp and staple allows you to select your own padlock, the Master Lock Pro Weathertough padlock would be an excellent choice to keep your rock salt safe and sound, and it is itself weather resistant so you can rest assured your precious salt is in good hands.

Manufactured from polyethylene these grit bins are impact resistant and strong and will not be corroded by the stored salt or by inclement elements. Available in 2 sizes, 200 or 400 litre, and in a choice of sunny yellow or leafy green. Yellow grit bins tend to be the most popular choice. You'll spot them decorating verges and living life on the edge of the motorway. They're also often kept around school entrances, hospitals and car parks along with public areas such as shopping malls, anywhere with a high pedestrian footfall. Green grit bins are a great choice if you'd prefer yours not to be the centre of attention. The pleasent dark green colour blends nicely with greenery in parks and even on your driveway. The large hinged lid makes filling and emptying nice and straightforward and the built-in forklift slots mean that the bins can be moved easily. Beware of trying to move a grit bin when full without an assisted device such as a pallet truck or forklift as they will be very heavy when packed full of lovely de-icing salt.

Free UK mainland delivery on orders over £50 ex.VAT.

Orders under £50 ex.VAT - £5.95 delivery charge.

Postcode exceptions: HS, KW, ZE, IV, AB, DD, PH, PA, GY, JE, IM, BT, Isle of Anglesey, Isle of Wight and Eire.

Standard deliveries are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm to the GROUND FLOOR or KERBSIDE only (unless previously agreed in writing).
We are unable to confirm exact delivery times, but we can usually confirm a day if you let us know in advance.

Saturday deliveries, timed AM or PM or above ground floor deliveries are available at extra cost.
Oversized products requiring a crane or hiab offload may incur an additional charge.

Lead times are displayed in working days, which excludes weekends & bank holidays.
During these unprecedented times, occasionally we are experiencing unexpected delays. If you have not received your item within the lead time shown please contact us and we will look into it as a matter of urgency.

At the time of delivery

An authorised person must be present to sign for delivery.
Failed attempts may result in a return delivery charge.
A request to leave goods without signature is entirely at your own risk.

Please check your delivered goods carefully.
ESE Direct cannot accept claims for shortage or damage after goods have been signed for.
The only exception is proof of a carrier note that is marked as damaged.
We must also be notified in writing within 24 hours of the delivery.
Please do not sign for any goods as 'unexamined' or 'unchecked' as carriers will not accept liability for any subsequent damage.
