The Stanton Cycle Shelter is a freestanding structure designed for straightforward on-site assembly. It provides access from both sides for users' convenience, enhancing usability and accessibility. The shelter is notably durable, featuring a fully hot-dipped galvanised frame and roof. Hot-dip galvanising provides a high level of corrosion resistance, making the shelter suitable for various environments, including outdoor and challenging weather conditions.
These cycle shelters are supplied in component form, simplifying the installation process. Cladding and roofing require on-site drilling and fixing, allowing for customisation and secure attachment of these components. The legs of the shelter can be flanged for secure bolting to a suitable concrete base, with a minimum size requirement of T400mm cube. This bolting option ensures stability and prevents movement, especially in windy conditions.
The shelter can be provided with "ragged ends" for embedding in the ground. Ragged ends are rough or uneven ends of steel bars, allowing for secure embedding in the ground, enhancing stability and preventing unauthorised movement of the shelter.
Galvanised Shelter is constructed from galvanised mild steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion, which is essential for outdoor use. The shelter features a curved roof made from galvanised sheet, providing protection from the elements and enhancing its durability.
The shelter is free-standing and open-sided, allowing easy access and providing an unenclosed space. This design makes it suitable for various outdoor applications, specifically as a cycle shelter. The shelter is available in lengths ranging from 1m to 5m. Extension bays can be added to achieve the desired shelter length, providing flexibility in accommodating different numbers of bicycles or specific spatial requirements. The shelter is designed to be bolted down as standard. Bolt-down installation ensures stability and security once the shelter is assembled, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use.
