Extremely economical way to store a large number of reels and coils within a small footprint
In modern-day workshops and engineering establishments there is often a need for suitable storage space for product reels and coils which do not have a large footprint and are not packaged in square or rectangular form. Standard pallet racking, designed principally for the storage of products on pallets, is better suited to the storage of industrial or workshop products which may require more robust support. The need for a suitable means of storage for reel and coil products has been identified and an appropriate item has been introduced to the product range, allowing reels or coils to be stored compactly on pallet racking without the need for pallets.
The metal coil cradles are coloured yellow orange (RAL 2000) for high visibility and can support reels from 450-900 mm in diameter are available in two sizes to fit pallet racking with depths of either 900 or 1100 mm. Whether coils are stored on racking or on the floor, they can be stored on top of each other and with the adjustable beam height of the pallet racking units, an entire area of racking could be used for the storage of several coils. It should be borne in mind that pallet racking beams on which the coil cradles are fitted are designed to take a maximum pallet weight of 1000 kg, and a maximum bay capacity of 2000 kg, and this weight should not be exceeded on the area where the coil cradle is installed.
We can also supply an anti-collapse system for your pallet racking that is the strongest on the market and provides a durable barrier against accidents caused by goods falling from or being mistakenly knocked off pallet racks. It is made from fully welded mesh and steel frames and is available in three models with different levels of protection. Anti-collapse panels are easy to mount using sturdy brackets that fit the majority of pallet racks, please call 0808 274 9657 for more information.
