Instant cable protection for construction sites & outside events - recommended maximum speed of 5mph
These protective cable ramps interlink to provide continuous protection for any length of cable and are suitable for both temporary and permanent installation.
It is easy to provide construction sites and outdoor events with electrical power, thanks to these heavy duty cable protectors with hinged lid. The protectors are designed to be used at outdoor concerts and building sites where there is a requirement to provide a reliable source of power, which is protected from the weather and pedestrian traffic.
It should be noted that when laid across roadways the ramps limit vehicular traffic to a maximum speed of 5mph; anything faster may damage them. However, their prime purpose is not to reduce traffic speed and they not should be used for this purpose.
Cable protector ramps can easily be made a permanent installation, thanks to their pre-prepared bolt holes.
Made of heavy duty rubber, which has been tested to withstand axle loads of up to 10,000kg, they have three generously sized channels to allow a varied selection of cables and hoses to be accommodated. The cable holes measure 50mm high, the edge holes are 68mm wide and the middle hole is 55mm wide. The ramps are readily placed into the required position and if required can be bolted down for a permanent installation. Cables can be installed later, via the hinged lids. If you're looking for a lighter-duty solution for protecting cables from pedestrian traffic only, take a look at the cable covers for pedestrian use.
