When ordering extra shelves for galvanised chipboard just shelving, you will discover there are different sizes available. The smallest is 900 mm wide and 300 mm in depth and weighs 6.2 kg. The 900 x 400 mm is 8.2 kg in weight.
There are also wider shelves of this type which can be ordered as extra shelving. The largest is the 1,200 x 450 mm which weighs 10.9 kg. Completing the range of extra shelving is the 1,200 x 300 mm shelf with a weight of 8.5 kg.
The extra shelves are made out of 18 mm thick FSC certified Chipboard shelf and are able to hold up to a maximum of between 350 and 375 kg. They come with a set of galvanised steel J beams to hold them. Two of the J beams are for setting front to back and the other two for left to right.
These shelves are ideal as a storage solution for items such as archive boxes, lever arch files and box files
No bolts are used when installing the shelving and this makes them easy and less time-consuming to install.
When ordering extras for the S/D galvanised chipboard unit, it is very important to order for the correct model. They can only be used with 1981 mm and 2438 mm high standard duty shelving.
This form of storage shelving saves on the need for starter or extension bays. They come with red uprights and a bay can hold up to 2,000 kg. There is a wide choice of widths and depths for the 1,981 mm version, while a six shelf version of the 2,438 model is also available.

Orders under £50 ex.VAT - £5.95 delivery charge.
Postcode exceptions: HS, KW, ZE, IV, AB, DD, PH, PA, GY, JE, IM, BT, Isle of Anglesey, Isle of Wight and Eire.
Standard deliveries are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm to the GROUND FLOOR or KERBSIDE only (unless previously agreed in writing).
We are unable to confirm exact delivery times, but we can usually confirm a day if you let us know in advance.
Saturday deliveries, timed AM or PM or above ground floor deliveries are available at extra cost.
Oversized products requiring a crane or hiab offload may incur an additional charge.

At the time of delivery
An authorised person must be present to sign for delivery.
Failed attempts may result in a return delivery charge.
A request to leave goods without signature is entirely at your own risk.
Please check your delivered goods carefully.
ESE Direct cannot accept claims for shortage or damage after goods have been signed for.
The only exception is proof of a carrier note that is marked as damaged.
We must also be notified in writing within 24 hours of the delivery.
Please do not sign for any goods as 'unexamined' or 'unchecked' as carriers will not accept liability for any subsequent damage.
