Safe and economical fine fluted electrical switchboard matting available in 3 thicknesses sold per linear metre
Cobaswitch electrical safety matting is an essential product in workplaces where employees work in proximity to live conductors. This electrical safety matting is suitable for use in high voltage areas and is specifically designed to protect people from hazardous electric shocks, making it the perfect choice in front of open switchboards, high voltage connections and electrically-charged equipment such as transformers, generators and electric workbenches.
This electrical safety matting is made from EPDM rubber that is is resistant to acid, oil and low temperatures and conforms to BS EN 61111:2009. It comes with colour coded tape on reverse to help identify the specific classification it is designed to operate within. The ribbed pattern surface provides traction underfoot and it can be cleaned by simply hosing down or pressure washing with a mild detergent.
Our ribbed rubber electrical safety matting is available in 3mm, 4mm and 5mm thickness. The 3mm thick matting has a maximum working voltage of 1KV and is designated BS EN 61111:2009 Class 0, the 4mm has a maximum working voltage of 26.5KV and is designated BS EN 61111:2009 Class 2 and the 5mm has a maximum working voltage of 36KV and is designated BS EN 61111:2009 Class 4. For large quantities, try the Cobaswitch rubber matting rolls.
PLEASE NOTE: Rubber matting is a natural product and that means it will have its own unavoidable odour. This odour will disappear over a short period when left in a well-ventilated area, alternatively, other odour absorbing products can also be used, check out our how to guide to removing the smell of rubber matting for more information.
