The garden rake - basically a broom for your lawn
Bulldog rakes are like brooms for the garden. They aid the recovery of your lawn after winter by removing any debris like moss, leaves, and dead grass which can suffocate the grass. By removing them it allows the grass to breathe again. It also aerates the topsoil of the lawn where it can get waterlogged and compact whilst removing the unwanted weeds. If you have any bare patches within your lawn by raking the lawn first the soil is in perfect condition to welcome new seed. The aluminium shaft is 1219mm long and has a soft-grip rubber handle for user comfort. The fan shaped head with 20 plastic tines maximises the area treated at once and waste collected. If you're maintaining a large green space which gets a lot of people walking across your grassed area, you can preserve your grass by installing some rubber grass protection matting, not only does it protect your lawn from wear, it also provides a sturdy anti-slip surface, particularly valuable during wet weather. You will however still need to get your new rake and collect up those pesky leaves. If you've got a large lawn, covered in leaves, a solution for removing the need for too much raking could be to use a leaf blower first, they're great for moving piles of leaves elsewhere, the you can rake them up and pop them in a composting bin and make your very own mulch.
