Chipboard shelves to enhance the storage potential of your longspan shelving
Any warehouse or stock room is bound to need a good deal of shelving. It is difficult to know in advance exactly how much storage space may be required, so a system that can be added to or adjusted as needed is a great flexible option. These longspan shelving units come as a starter pack. And extension packs can be bought as and when they are needed to expand your shelving space in a distribution centre or store room. With this option, all of the stock or materials will be able to fit easily and safely without disruption to your current storage system.
These chipboard extra shelves are perfect for adding extra space to an existing shelving unit if the items being stored do not require much height room. The chipboard is also very strong and can take plenty of weight as long as it is distributed evenly across the shelf.
In a storeroom or warehouse, you can never have too much storage space. For shelving units that are currently storing smaller items, it makes sense to add extra shelves in between the existing ones to create significantly more space for storing additional stock and materials. Very heavy items need to be stored on strong shelves, and these extra chipboard shelves fit the bill perfectly. Your heaviest items are best kept on lower shelves as they are easier to reach minimising the risk of injury due to over-stretching or damage to stock by dropping it on the floor! Always making sure however, that your loads do not exceed the maximum load capacity of each shelf. Load capacities for chipboard shelves which form part of longspan shelving vary depending on the physical size of each shelf. Always ensure loads are evenly distributed, loads which aren't evenly distributed can potentially damage your shelving system, shortening its lifespan. If you're in need of any help or advice, our technical sales team are always happy to take your call on 0808 258 2511. We aim to have your new shelves delivered to your workplace within 3-5 working days.
