Adjustable shelving with solid ends, ideal for commercial office use or industrial use where appearance is important.
One of the benefits of using Duo shelving clad back extension bays is that not only do they increase the amount of storage space available, they are very easy to assemble. No time is wasted fastening the extensions together with nuts and bolts as clips are used instead.
Of course, before extension bays are installed a starter bay will have to be in place first. Extension bays have the same components as the Duo shelving starter bays, the only difference being that they have just one upright frame instead of two.
Clad back shelves enable more secure storage, particularly for loose leaf files and papers, so they are popular with companies needing that level of security.
One advantage of using this type of shelving and storage is that normally it does not have to be secured, such as fastened to the wall or floor. In certain cases, however, it will have to be affixed for reasons of safety. If the shelving exceeds 4:1 height to depth ratio for the top loaded shelf, it will need to be fastened to the wall or floor.
The standard colour for duo shelving clad back extensions bays is light grey. There are other options for the uprights, and these are dark grey and blue.
The extensions are also available in a range of different sizes. They can be ordered with a height of 1,850 mm and a width of 1,000 mm, or 2,150 mm x 1,000 mm. The shelving comes in depths of 300 mm, 370 mm, 400 mm, 450 mm and 600 mm.
